Common Man Coffee Roasters (CMCR) is the product of a partnership between three stakeholders - Harry Grover, Five Senses Coffee and Spa Esprit Group. This combination of knowledge, resources, skills, experience and passion has produced a thriving café, academy, roastery and wholesale business in Singapore, which we are now proud to bring to KL with a team dedicated to sharing their love for the product in an approachable and enjoyable way - specialty coffee for the Common Man!

THE BRIEF

To officially launch Common Man Coffee Roasters in TTDI, Kuala Lumpur through an engaging media launch event.


OUR OBJECTIVES

Create talkability and awareness of Common Man Coffee Roasters amongst coffee and brunch lovers.

OUR STRATEGY

Start a common chapter in Kuala Lumpur with an intimate mingling session with media, celebrity guest and key social influencers from various industries to introduce CMCR.


DELIVERY

Media Engagement

Selected lifestyle media titles were invited for an intimate coffee & food appreciation and workshop sessions. They were entertained by renowned local DJs, Arabyrd and Aku Ash and on-ground activations such as coffee cupping, latte art and Aeropress challenge to close off the event. The winners of the competition walked home with an Aeropress device and some delicious CMCR’s coffee beans. Additionally, interview opportunities with Harry Grover, founder of CMCR, were extended to business media for further exposure.

RESULTS

This launch campaign garnered a total of RM1.5 mil in PR value with a total of 50 media clippings and 76 social media mentions.
