Mad Hat Asia Joins Vero: A New Chapter for Creative Communications in Southeast Asia

We're thrilled to share some big news. Mad Hat Asia has officially become part of the Vero network, marking an exciting new chapter for our team and the work we do across the region.

Vero has taken a majority stake in Mad Hat Asia, broadening its regional reach and integrated creative communications offering. For us, it means access to Vero's full suite of specialist capabilities — from public relations and government relations to data analytics, research and strategic planning — while continuing to bring our own strengths to the table: consumer lifestyle expertise, social media management capability, cultural fluency and a sharp understanding of emerging trends and next-generation audiences.

The move strengthens Vero's presence in Malaysia whilst broadening its capabilities in Singapore. It also creates closer alignment with Vero Advocacy, the group's government relations arm in Malaysia — a combination that matters increasingly for brands navigating complex regulatory and reputational environments.

As our Founder, Rengeeta Rendava, puts it, "Joining Vero gives us the opportunity to learn from that strength while contributing our own perspective on culture, digital-first audiences and strength in consumer storytelling into the mix."

Vero achieved fee income growth of 11.5% in 2025, and with the addition of Mad Hat, the combined group is expected to deliver USD 13.5 million in revenue in 2026, supported by 300 communications, government relations and influencer marketing experts working across seven markets. Importantly, as a growth-led acquisition, there are no staff redundancies planned.

Technology will be a core part of this next phase. Mad Hat Asia will tap into Vero's proprietary technology stack, analytics infrastructure and regional intelligence teams, with both firms sharing a clear ambition to build AI-first advantages — without sacrificing authentic, people-led storytelling.

Both agencies were recently named among the top 100 consumer PR agencies in the world by PRovoke Media — a recognition that reflects the complementary credentials each brings to this partnership.
