IT'S THE SHIP, 2014 & 2015


Debuting in November 2014 on the Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas. IT'S THE SHIP is Asia's largest music festival at sea. 2000 souls aboard the vessel embark on a journey of music, sun and sea from Singapore, crossing the straits of Malacca to the tropical island of Langkawi for the ultimate beach party of epic proportions. International and regional headliners performed on multiple stages across the cruise ship which also featured world-class facilities including 200 foot rock climbing wall, 10 pools, a theatre and a first ever ice rink at sea.

What We Did


Mad Hat PR engaged a team of 10 prominent social media influencers, coming from 5 countries (Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Australia), generating 102 posts with a total of 393,210 likes across 7 months. Scope included

  • Identified, negotiated and engaged relevant social media influencers.

  • Crafted collaboration briefs for each engaged influencer and managed timeliness of fulfilment.

  • Influencer liaison, handling everything from pre-departure arrangements to onboard hospitality and post-event follow ups.

  • Managed social media tracking and reporting.
